World Bank appoints new country manager for Uzbekistan

Marco Mantovanelli has been appointed as World Bank Country Manager for Uzbekistan, replacing Hideki Mori who was in the position since March 2017.

Mantovanelli has over 20 years of development and management experience working for the World Bank in Latin America, Africa and Europe. He was most recently the World Bank Country Manager for Kosovo and North Macedonia. He has also served as Country Manager for Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Dominican Republic and Haiti, and has held various managerial positions at World Bank Headquarters in Washington, D. C.
